My dogs have fleas and ticks obtain even using Frontline Plus or K9 Advantix. Ideas?

My two dogs suddenly six years fleas and ticks to obtain, even using Frontline Plus or K9 Advantix. They are also concerned that Sentinel, not only heartworm, but presumably which should give protection against fleas reinforcement. I exhausted my resources and hope that someone can suggest other options. I tried to brewer's yeast and garlic and olive tree of tea, but in vain. I'm desperate.
